5 Fandom Friday – Favorite Fictional Foods

Read the origin of 5 Fandom Friday here!

Yep, I totally bailed on 5FF last month. It’s still becoming a habit! I love answering lists like this, so I’m going to do one every week – and if there’s a prompt I’m not feeling, I’ll just use an older one. And I have a lot to choose one! But this one is a neat topic that…I never really thought about! Unique foods in stories really adds to the sense of “unworldly fantasy” since it’s something we’ve never heard of. So here is my list, plus some drinks I need to try (drinks count, right?!)

5 Fandom Friday : My OTPs

Graphic by Darling Stewie

I’m really excited to post my first 5 Fandom Friday! This is a fun prompt started by The Nerdy Girlie and SuperSpaceChick¬†as a way to get geek bloggers talking and sharing. I like lists, and I like answering questions. Like, I really really like them.

This week’s topic is OTPs. I’m guessing it’s because Valentine’s Day is coming up, but hoooo boy. This is definitely a wild one to open up with. In no particular order – !

Zuko and Katara

I was not onboard any ship when Avatar – The Last Airbender aired, and I think that’s because it seemed so obvious that the hero Aang was destined to get the girl from the very first episode. I just knew it was endgame from that first gaze! And thank goodness, because from what I have heard, the shipping wars were brutal. (Remember, we had to wait basically a year in between seasons. That’s a long time for fans to speculate every second of footage for clues of where the story was going).

Nah, it wasn’t until a few years ago when I had seen too many gorgeous fanart, read too many “what if?” fanfics when I saw the light. I loved Zutara and now I felt the pain of knowing it would never happen. Zutara shippers had seen the potential of these two, the parallels and “could have beens”, for years and it exploded all on me at once. This pairing torments me constantly, but I’m happy to be on board.
